Biography

David resides in Uruguay and in the Washington D.C. area. He was born in La Plata, Argentina, on December 13, 1948 and immigrated to Israel in 1963. He has s been studying painting since 1982 at the Art Museum of Santiago de Chile; at Clark University in Worcester, Mass; at the JCC in Rockville, MD; with Hector Viera in Quito, Ecuador; with Sergio Viera in Montevideo, Uruguay, and at the Corcoran School of Arts in Washington D.C.
 
David majored in Mathematics and Economics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and completed Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Economics at the University of Chicago (1982). He taught economics at the University of Chile and at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. He was an economist at the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund for 26 years, and is currently an independent consultant. 

His other interests include flying single engine airplanes (instrument rating), sailing (skipper), practicing Shorinji Kempo (2nd Dan), and other sports.
